Medium red colour with brick-red tinges and the bouquet is mellow, tobaccoey and vanilla/chocolaty, seemingly quite forward-developed. There is a touch of firmness in the tannins, which are ample, and attractive mulberry and cassis flavours emerge as it opens in the glass. A solid glass of merlot that delivers superior value for money.
