Printhie MCC Chardonnay
This is a single vineyard wine from the Balmoral H Block planted more than 20 years ago. Hand picked, minimal handling, no acid, fining or enzymes. High solids juice, 100% wild ferment, 100% barrel ferment, 30% new French oak, lees stirring, no sulphur during barrel maturation (10 months). Due to the cool season and resulting high acid a greater proportion of the blend underwent malolactic fermentation to obtain better palate balance. Characterful, modern, complex chardonnay.
