The colour is a deep red with youthful purple hues. A wonderful array of dried herbs initially characterises the aroma. Oregano, dill and thyme come forward, then make way for black pepper, olive and black cherry. Savoury and earthy tones also make their way from the aroma onto the full, fleshy palate. Fine ripe tannin, tight acidity and meaty flavours combine into an umami delight, with ripe red fruits adding colour and brightness to the palate.
